Tickets & orders

Where can I find my tickets?

In your confirmation email: the "Open tickets online" link takes you to your mobile ticket – it's the only way in. The attached PDF is an overview, not an entry ticket. You don't need an account. Nothing arrived? Check your spam folder – or ask in the chat and we'll send them again.

I didn't receive an email.

First check your spam folder. If you mistyped your email address, write to us with your order number (starts with MX) – we'll correct the address and resend the tickets.

Is a screenshot of my ticket enough?

No. Only the live code in your mobile ticket counts at the entrance – it keeps changing. Open the ticket via the link in your order email and activate it on your phone.

Can I resell my ticket elsewhere?

Not outside maintix – that's what ReTix is for: offer your ticket in your order at your chosen price, another fan buys it and gets their own ticket in their name. Your old ticket becomes invalid and you receive the money after the event. Tickets bought on other platforms won't work, because the entry code is tied to a phone and a name.

Why is there a name on the ticket?

Tickets are personalised to prevent touting and fraud. The organiser may ask for photo ID at entry.

Transfers, cancellations, refunds

How much can I sell my ticket for on ReTix?

At most twice the original ticket price – selling for less is always possible. The limit applies to every event so resale stays fair and price gouging has no chance. The buyer pays the usual ticket fees. We deduct a ReTix fee of 5 % from the sale price, at least €1. If the ticket itself was bought via ReTix, the ReTix fee is 10 %.

Can I cancel or return my ticket?

No. Tickets for events on a fixed date are excluded from cancellation and return (no right of withdrawal). You can, however, transfer a ticket to another person.

How do I give a ticket as a gift?

Put the ticket in your own name when you buy. Then open your order, choose "Transfer / gift ticket" and send the link to the person – they enter their name and get their own ticket.

How often can I transfer a ticket?

As often and for as long as the organiser allows (usually twice, until shortly before the start). After that, the organiser can help you.

What happens if the event is cancelled?

You'll be notified by email and the ticket price will be refunded automatically to your payment method. Depending on your bank, the refund takes 5–10 working days.

The event has been postponed – what now?

Your tickets remain valid. We'll let you know about any changes to the date or venue by email.

Payment

Which payment methods are available?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna and more. Payment is processed securely by our EU-regulated payment provider – we never see or store card details.

Why is there a service fee?

It covers payment processing, ticket delivery, entry technology and support. It consists of a €0.85 ticket fee and a 2.4% system fee (each plus VAT), plus the payment provider's payment fee. Everything is included in the final price you see before paying – nothing more is added at checkout.

Will I get an invoice?

You'll receive an order confirmation with all amounts. For an invoice with a company address, write to us with your order number.

For organisers

How do I become an organiser?

Sign up, enter your organisation details and complete payment verification. Once we've reviewed your account you can start selling; you can prepare events beforehand.

What does maintix cost?

No base fee. For each ticket sold, the buyer pays a service fee made up of a €0.85 ticket fee and a 2.4% system fee on the ticket price (each plus VAT), plus the payment provider's payment fee – all included in the final price shown before payment. You set your own amount and receive it in full; the fee calculator shows you the final price instantly.

When do I get my money?

Your share is allocated to your payout account with every payment. Payouts are made after the event, once there are no remaining cancellation or chargeback risks.

Do I need a scanning device?

No. Any smartphone with a camera and a browser will do, and handheld scanners work too. For large entrances you can rent entry hardware from us – pre-configured and ready to go. Just ask via the enquiry form.

Are there guest lists and discounts?

Yes. You can create guest lists with an invitation link or public sign-up, discount codes and volume discounts directly in the event.

Speed & reliability

How fast is entry with maintix?

Fast enough for any door: the result is on screen after about half a second on median, and in 95% of cases in under 0.9 seconds. In our load test under live conditions, 40 devices checked 2,000 tickets at the same time in about 35 seconds – more than 3,400 scans per minute. The bottleneck is the door, not the system.

How many entry devices can scan at the same time?

As many as you need. Any smartphone with a browser becomes a scanner – no app required. The load test ran 40 scanners at one event plus 50 team devices with the live view – without a single error or double entry.

Can a ticket get in twice if it's scanned at two entrances at once?

No. Every entry is booked in the database as a single atomic step. If the same ticket arrives at two entrances simultaneously, exactly one scan wins – the other instantly shows “already admitted” with time and entrance. Load test: 2,000 scans, 2,000 correct entries, 0 duplicates.

How quickly do I see sales and entry in the dashboard?

Live, without reloading. New sales, entries and ReTix offers appear on all your team's devices within about 2 seconds – even while scanning is in full swing. Dashboard pages load in under a second.

What happens when demand spikes during presale?

Tickets are firmly reserved during checkout while payment is made. We never sell more than exists – overselling is technically impossible, even with huge numbers of simultaneous buyers. Tickets are only issued once payment is confirmed.

What if a server fails?

maintix runs in several parallel processes. If one fails, the others take over immediately; monitoring checks the system every minute and restarts automatically if needed. All data is stored in a managed database in the EU and additionally backed up every 6 hours – nothing gets lost.
